FAQ

Common questions about import costs

How to read the calculator, what the presets mean, and where to go next.

  • What is landed cost?

Landed cost is everything you pay to get sealed boxes in hand: the seller's price, international shipping, payment processing fees, and import duties and taxes. This calculator rolls those into one total per set so you can compare against buying locally on TCGplayer.

  • How accurate are the import duty estimates?

The presets come from typical tariffs, VAT/GST rates, and flat parcel charges by country — starting points only, not tax advice. Actual import charges depend on declared value, carrier paperwork, and how customs classifies the shipment. Use the editable import fields to match your situation.

  • Why does each set show its own order?

The calculator models every set as a separate order at your chosen quantity. That matches how most buyers compare one set at a time and keeps shipping and import costs visible per set instead of hiding them in a blended average.

  • What quantity should I use for estimates?

Most buyers import in multiples of five boxes — the same minimum used on request orders here. Start with 10 boxes to see a realistic per-set landed cost; increase the quantity to see how shipping spreads across more units.

  • Where do seller prices come from?

Prices are pulled from active Japanese sellers' daily price lists on Pacific Card Exchange. When no seller filter is selected, each set uses the lowest listed price. Filter by seller to see landed cost from a specific account.
